Michelle studied law at the University of Otago and along with her Law degree, holds a Bachelor of Science (Genetics and Biochemistry) and a Master of Bioethics and Health Law.
She began her legal career in Nelson in 2012. After three and a half years working in the litigation team of another local firm, she embarked on her O.E where she spent two years working in London for large, international firms including Ashurst, Linklaters and Taylor Wessing.
She also had a stint working as an adjudicator for The Housing Ombudsman. Michelle then took a year off law, living in a small village in Italy teaching English (and eating as much cheese, pasta and pizza as humanly possible).
After returning to Nelson in 2018, Michelle joined Isherwood Le Gros where she has worked to expand her knowledge in numerous areas of law including Relationship Property and Asset Protection, Commercial Law, Trusts and Succession Planning, Specialised Land Law and Civil Litigation/Dispute Resolution.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys mountain biking, hiking and spending time with her retired racing greyhound, Angus.
